Bali Tattoo Expo 2022 marked an important return for Bali’s tattoo community following the disruption of the previous years. Held in South Beach Kuta from 29–31 July 2022, the three-day event brought together tattoo artists, studios, enthusiasts, and industry professionals from Bali, across Indonesia, and overseas.
Secret Arts Tattoo Studio participated in the 2022 edition with resident artists Turah Ink and Vincent Hendra, representing the studio alongside a diverse lineup of tattoo artists and studios.
Secret Arts at Bali Tattoo Expo 2022
The 2022 event was the fifth edition of Bali Tattoo Expo. Hundreds of artists from tattoo studios across Indonesia and other countries were expected to take part, creating an opportunity for artists and visitors to connect with different tattoo styles, techniques, and perspectives.
For Secret Arts, participating in the expo was an opportunity to be part of Bali’s wider tattoo community and showcase the work of two of our resident artists: Turah Ink and Vincent Hendra.

Turah Ink and Vincent Hendra attended Bali Tattoo Expo 2022 on behalf of Secret Arts. Their participation gave visitors an opportunity to discover the artists’ work outside the studio environment while connecting Secret Arts with the broader local and international tattoo community.
Both artists have continued developing their work since the 2022 expo. Today, visitors can explore their current portfolios, tattoo styles, and artist profiles directly through the Secret Arts website.
A Meeting Point for Bali’s Tattoo Community
Bali Tattoo Expo brought together more than tattooing alone. The event provided a space to explore tattoo genres, techniques, industry trends, body art, tattoo-related merchandise, and live competition. Artists from different backgrounds could meet, exchange ideas, and present their work to both local and international audiences.
This international mix reflects the wider tattoo culture found in Bali. The island attracts tattoo artists and collectors from many countries, while local artists continue to develop distinctive work influenced by both Indonesian culture and global tattoo styles. Continuing the Secret Arts Event Journey
Bali Tattoo Expo 2022 is part of Secret Arts’ history of participating in tattoo events and connecting with the wider tattoo industry. The studio returned for Bali Tattoo Expo 2023, continuing its involvement with artists, events, and the tattoo community.
That involvement has continued in later years as Secret Arts artists have participated in tattoo festivals and international events. These experiences give our artists opportunities to exchange ideas, challenge their skills, and stay connected with developments across the tattoo industry.
